Mommy Sandy is a major cuddle
bug! She loves to be around
people, picked up, scratched, cuddled, loved on, etc!
She gets along great with other dogs, but will chase the kitties!
Sandy is around 2 years old & only 12 pounds.

When we were at the shelter
picking up the pregnant
Black Lab, these babies were in the cage next to her,
along with their very sweet mommy. We had nowhere
to put them, but we took them anyway, having to leave
mom behind because we didn't even know what we were going to do with
the babies. One of our fabulous foster homes
stepped forward, and she drove all the way from OC to the Riverside
Shelter on June 3rd
to get mom..........so this family is reunited!!

Cockapoo Cuties

This tiny trio of of baby
girls was dumped in the shelter
when they were only 2-1/2 weeks old, without a mommy!
We rushed to get them so they would survive, now they
are in a foster home where they are being bottle fed. We
really
have no clue what they are, but they kind of have the Cockapoo
hair going on. We are guessing they were born around
May 8th. All 3 are girls.

Sunny & her Seedlings!

Sunny and her adorable babies
were dumped in the
shelter by their owner. This fluffy family will never have to
worry about being abandoned again! We gave mom her
name because of her disposition, and her babies are
just as "sunny" as she is! There are 7 of them!

Krystal & her Krew
Tiny 6 pound Krystal gave
birth to 5 itty bitty babies
on May 22nd, but once they hit the milk supply, they
exploded in size! Krystal is being an awesome mommy
right now, but we are guessing she will give up that gig
pretty soon.

she decided to let go of on May 23th.

Terrier Tots

These babies were dumped in
the shelter when they
were only 3 weeks old, without a mommy! One of our
volunteers rushed to save them, then delivered them
to one of our foster homes. They have had a rough start,
but now they are getting the care they need.
We are guessing they were born around May 31st

2nd
We got an
urgent call from the shelter, saying a
super sweet pregnant Black Lab had just come in
& needed to be rescued ASAP. To the shelter
we went! This girl is one of the happiest, most
easy-going mommy dogs we have had!
The stork is programming his GPS & should
be arriving soon, so stay tuned!

The extremely pregnant mommy
came to us from
the desert, via the Riverside Shelter. She is like a beached
whale, barely able to move. Thankfully, she is safe & sound
in a foster home just in time for delivery!

Rosie
Arrived June 23rd
Rosie came to us from the
shelter with a very round belly &
delivered 4 tiny babies within a few hours of getting
settled into her foster home. Mommy Rosie is
only 6 pounds, and her babies are the size of mice!
Rosie is such a sweetie, not at all Chihuahua in
personality! She is taking excellent care of her
microscopic offspring!

Poor Lulu
was dumped in the shelter with a massively
pregnant belly, but thankfully, we got her out before the
babies made an appearance. From the size of
her stomach, it won't be long.

are doing well.

Lovely Lexi
Arrived July 2nd
Lexi was hanging out in the
general population of the
shelter, in a cage with several other dogs, when one of
the shelter staff noticed she had a big belly. We were
called & Lexi is now safe, waiting for the birth of her babies!
She is a young girl, only about a year old, as well as a
wonderful size, only 38 pounds. Lexi is a very happy,
friendly girl who loves to run & play, so we are hoping
she will take her mommy duties seriously when the babies
arrive.

Reggie
Reggie is a 1-1/2 year old, 25
pound Cocker Spaniel,
a total bundle of love wrapped in a beautiful blonde
package. He gets along good with other dogs, and would
be a great addition to a family with older kids.

Romy
Pretty Romy is a sweet, quiet
little girl who found herself
in the shelter in a cage with 5 bigger dogs who weren't
very nice to her. Romy is only 13 pounds, so it must
have been very scary for her. She is such a lovebug now
that she is in a foster home. Only a year old, Romy is
very calm for a gal her age.

Lucy
Lucy is a fun, whimsical
little girl who got her name because
of her flaming red hair & her comedic personality! When we
picked her up from the shelter she was a matted mess, wet because
she was in a crowded cage where other dogs pee'd on her. She
didn't seem to care & jumped right on our laps
in her lovely smelly soaking wet condition, and started giving
kisses (ahhh, the fun of rescue!). She went straight from the
shelter to the groomer where they gave her a new hairdo (Ok, maybe a
no-hair do). She is such a happy girl & loves
everyone! Lucy is only 8 pounds & around 1 year old.
Lucy's hair will grow back beautifully, but right now,
she has the perfect cut for summer!

Sassy
Say hello to Miss Personality!
Sassy came to us from the shelter a bit of a mess,
but a quick trip to the beauty parlor took care of that.
Sassy has never met a stranger........just so happy
to say hello to everyone! She is very playful & energetic,
but just as happy to settle down & sit on your lap!
Sassy is only 8 pounds & about a year old.

Chicory
Chicory was one of our mommy
dogs, but her babies
have long been adopted, now it's her turn to find a
forever home. Chicory is EXTREMELY human friendly,
very loving, playful, and energetic. She would be a
great addition to an active family. Chicory is a bit
selective about the dogs she likes, so she would need
a home with either no dogs, or a happy, goofy male dog.
Chicory is a Catahoula, about 2 years old & 60 pounds.

Edmonds
Edmonds is a 10 month old mix
of lots of wonderful breeds - he looks like he has some Shepherd,
Lab, Rhodesian, and who knows what else, making him one smart boy!
He has been through obedience training and knows how to sit, lay
down, high 5, stay, is housebroken and will make an excellent
companion. Edmonds is currently 60lbs and probably has a bit more
growing to do, although he thinks he is still a lap dog!

Snowbell
Snowbell came to us when she
was found near a dumpster
with 3 newborn babies in a cardboard box next to her, in the
pouring down rain. Her babies have been adopted, now
Snowbell is looking for a home to call her own. She is a total
lovebug, but she will require a home without men. She love
women & children, but it's obvious that a man was very
mean to her at one time. She also gets along great with
other dogs. Snowbell is about 2 years old & 16 pounds.

Zoe came to
us after she was found in an abandoned
house, her family leaving her behind to fend for herself.
Luckily, she was found before it was too late.
Zoe is a red Min-Pin, about 3 years old & only 7 pounds,
a tiny little girl. Despite what she has been through,
she is a social butterfly who loves everyone she meets.
She is a great little girl who deserves a family
that will cherish her!

Suki
Suki was one of our fabulous
mommy dogs, now
it's time for her to find her very own home. She is
around 3 years old & 15 pounds, gets along good
with other dogs & ignores the kitty cats! She is in
a foster family with 4 kids, so she is going to make
a very nice family pet.

Lola is a
sweet little Chihuahua mix who found herself fully pregnant &
abandoned in the scary shelter. We got her out & she gave birth to 5
babies on April 12th in a warm, comfy foster home. All of her babies
have been adopted, now it's Lola's turn. She is a sweet gal,
playful, energetic, and a lot of fun!
