Gunnar aka Watty
adopted as a baby June 2004
Gunnar is a true rags-to-riches success story. In April 2004,
we were contacted by an employee of the Department of
Water & Power (in the Watts area of LA) about a mommy dog who had
given birth next to a dumpster on a massive gravel lot full of tall,
dangerous power transformers. She had been tossing food to the
mommy dog, but was very worried about the puppies, so she called us.
We were unable to catch the mommy dog, but we got the babies, who
were 3 weeks old at the time. Gunnar is one of those babies!
Adopted to a wonderful family in San Diego, he has been involved in
agility training for 3-1/3 years, and recently received his NATCH
title, which is very high on the list of elite titles for agility.
He is currently in training to be a search & rescue dog! What
a success!
